Repairs Process
All Cowon multimedia players come with a 12 month warranty from the original date of purchase from an authorised Cowon reseller in New Zealand. All accessories come with with a 90-day warranty. This is a limited warranty and Cowon's terms and conditions may apply. The warranty does not cover accidental damage, liquid damage or intentional damage caused to the device.

If you are having trouble with your Cowon device, there are a few things that you can try before sending it in for servicing:

  • Upgrade the firmware to the latest version
Firmware upgrades are released regularly to address known issues with the software which controls your device. You can download updates for free from Cowon America.
  • Check the iAudiophile forums
The iAudiophile forums are a great resource, where many Cowon owners can help with suggestions on what may be causing you problems.
If you have tried this and still have no luck, your unit may require servicing.

If your unit is still under warranty
Simply return your unit to the store from which you purchased it to arrange the repair or replacement of your device. You will need to provide the store with a copy of your original purchase receipt. The store will then advise you of their repairs process.

If your unit is out of warranty
If your unit is older than 12-months or the repair is not covered under warranty for any reason, service and freight fees will apply. You can either deal with Digital Pride directly or return your device to the store from which you originally purchased the device. A freight fee of $50+gst applies which covers freight to and from Korea. Parts charges may apply and this price will be quoted once your unit has been assessed. This process generally takes between 3-4 weeks.

If you purchased your unit overseas and it is under warranty
As your unit was purchased overseas, it is not covered in New Zealand. However, we can act as an agent for you to have the unit serviced under warranty with Cowon in Korea. We charge our standard shipping charge of $50+gst to cover the freight to and from Korea.

If you purchased your unit overseas and it is now out of warranty
Our standard out of warranty policy applies (see above).
